Follicular Unit Transfer (FUT) – a wedge/swatch (strip method) of posterior hair-bearing scalp is removed surgically, closed precisely (leaving a linear scar) and the individual follicular units are divided under microscopic precsion and transfered to the recipient hairline/area.
Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) – individual follicular units are extracted from the donor site (posterior scalp typically) and examined under the microscope and then transferred/transplanted into the recipient hairline/area desired.
